Medicare/Private Fees

Little People Therapies offers services under private, and Medicare funding pathways, depending on the service type.

Medicare Fees

Medicare rebates may be available for Occupational Therapy and Dietetics services with a valid Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan (previously known as an EPC plan) and a referral from your GP.

• Medicare provides up to five (5) allied health sessions per calendar year
• These sessions are shared across all allied health disciplines
• Payment is required at the time of your appointment
• Following payment, we will process Medicare claims on your behalf, with any eligible rebate paid directly to you by Medicare
• Medicare rebates are partial and do not cover the full cost of the appointment

Eligibility for a CDM Plan and the number of sessions approved are determined by your GP.

Private Fees

Private and Medicare therapy services at Little People Therapies are charged at a standard per-appointment rate.

Private appointments are billed directly to families and are payable at the time of the appointment.

Additional Professional Services & Time

Additional professional time may sometimes be required, including reviews, reports, and liaison with other professionals. Where needed, this time is charged based on the time taken at the relevant hourly rate and will be discussed with families.

Travel Fees for Mobile Therapy

When therapy is delivered in the community (e.g. home, school, childcare, or other agreed locations), travel fees may apply.

Cancellations 

A minimum 50% cancellation fee will be charged for any appointment cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled time.
