Kaori Shimizu

Allied Health Assistant

Kaori has had over 10 years’ experience working in the childcare industry and has been working as an Allied Health Assistant in paediatrics for the last two years. She holds Diploma in Children’s Services and Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, following her interest and passion for working with children with disabilities.

As an Allied Health Assistant, Kaori collaborates closely with the Occupational Therapist to conduct individually tailored therapy sessions for children in diverse environments, including homes, daycare centers, kindergartens, and schools. Her primary focus is helping children achieve their full potential, utilising a child-centered approach that is not only meaningful but fun for the child.

Kaori is also a dedicated mum of five with a lived experience of navigating and embracing the strengths and challenges that come with parenting neurodivergent children. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music with a nice drink (or two!).
